The Vasse Athletics Carnival was another unforgettable day, blessed with perfect weather and high spirits! The fun started right away with the inaugural Staff Inflatable Race, a hilarious new tradition initiated by Ms Kailla Erickson (Teacher), which brought huge laughs to the field.
On the track, students from all age groups gave phenomenal efforts in sprint races and team games. Their positive attitude and commitment was impressive. This year saw the exciting addition of the Year 4 to 6 Grand Relay, a crowd-pleaser that added a competitive edge. The popular Parent/Teacher/Student Relay also returned, showcasing some speedy skills from our parent community.
Sustainability was a major focus, thanks to Miss Callie Clark (Teacher) and her Sustainability Green Team. They promoted a greener carnival by replacing single-use decorations with colourful hairspray and zinc sunscreen, all for a gold coin donation to the P&C. This initiative led to a noticeable reduction in waste.
Finally, a massive THANK YOU to our entire Vasse community—staff, students, and parents—for their incredible support. Special mention to the Hayley family for the coffee van (with proceeds supporting the 2026 Rottnest Camp) and the P&C, canteen staff, and all parent volunteers whose generosity makes this event possible and so memorable!
