Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy

The School Chaplain is employed by YouthCARE WA. The Chaplain’s focus is in a non-denominational pastoral care role. The Chaplain gets to know all new students within the first few weeks of their arrival and monitors how they are settling in to ensure a smooth transition. The Chaplain spends recess and lunch in the playground or Chaplain’s Room interacting with students and facilitating group activities throughout the year.

The Chaplain also co-ordinates a team of mentors under the EdConnect School Mentor Program to provide ‘one on one’ encouragement to students.

The Tuesday Breakfast Club is a great start to the week for all students. Breakfast is served in the Hive from 8.00am for those who wish to participate, with a choice of food offerings. Supplies are gratefully accepted from Foodbank and Coles Vasse, and we thank these businesses and community volunteers who assist in this program.

The Chaplain attends our school three days a week during term, supporting the wellbeing of our school community. Parents in need of a little extra support are welcome to call 9746 3700 to book an appointment with the Chaplain.
