Science was established as a specialist subject at Vasse Primary School (VPS) in 2024. It is designed to foster scientific knowledge and curiosity through a range of rich learning experiences such as hands-on experiments, demonstrations, discussions, games and written tasks.
Students learn about Biological, Chemical, Earth and Space and Physical Science throughout each year, engaging in topics aligned with their interests, age, and the WA Curriculum. Our Science program complements our Inquiry and Walker programs, as it requires students to apply scientific theories and knowledge to real life experiences, utilising critical and creative thinking.
Our vision is to provide VPS students with the skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to deepen their understanding of the world through independent and effective scientific inquiry as passionate and life-long scientists.
