At Vasse Primary School sustainability is a shared responsibility. Each classroom has landfill, recycling, and food scrap bins to support our worm farm in the Wicked Garden Patch. We have six Containers for Change stations around the school and specialty recycling hubs in junior primary, the Office and the Library.
Students join the Green Team to help manage waste and promote eco-friendly habits. Teachers reduce paper use, streamline booklists, and support our second-hand uniform shop. Students engage in waste education through programs from the Shire of Busselton, Keep Australia Beautiful, and other initiatives.
Every second year, our Inquiry Expo focuses on sustainability, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We are proud of our efforts and always looking for new ways to improve.
