What a fantastic weekend at the Busselton Agricultural Show for our Chicken Club students! We had a great mix of first-time entrants and returning families, with several students proudly earning 1st and 2nd place certificates for their chickens.
Representing Vasse Primary School’s Chicken Club were Queenie Creamy and Fizzy Fanta. Creamy kept us busy with multiple baths and a splash of Bluo to remove her “golden glow” from bright yellow medicated water — but the effort paid off with a win! Fizzy’s firework feathers dazzled the judges, even if they weren’t quite sure where to place her.
Most importantly, our students showed amazing patience, resilience, and care in preparing their feathered friends — we couldn’t be prouder!
