This term, one lucky class had the opportunity for a class Zoom meeting with Year 3 students from our partner Sekolah Fastabiqul Khairat.
Vasse Primary students of Room 1 practised introducing themselves in Indonesian before helping their new Indonesian friends practise English, asking and answering questions about languages, foods, sports and animals, as well as threats to and solutions for our marine environment.
It was wonderful to hear our students using important, useful phrases such as “Nama saya…” (My name is …) “Saya bisa bicara Bahasa Indonesia sedikit” (I can speak Indonesian a little) and “terima kasih” (thank you). Students were left buzzing with excitement after the session, and we can’t wait to try again with another class next term.
