Last week, our Year 6 Student Leaders participated in a meaningful Reconciliation Walk from the Youth and Community Activities Building to Saltwater Busselton, taking time to reflect on what reconciliation truly means.
Throughout the experience, students explored the understanding that reconciliation is about much more than saying “sorry.” It is about learning from our shared history, listening with empathy, showing respect, and working together to build a stronger future. They discovered that reconciliation is a responsibility we all share—a message that reflects the 2026 National Reconciliation Week theme, “All In,” which encourages every Australian to commit to truth-telling, understanding, and meaningful action.
Our students expressed their learning through thoughtful reflections, demonstrating the impact of the experience:

These reflections remind us that reconciliation is not confined to a single event or one week each year. It is an ongoing commitment to walking together, learning from one another, and building respectful relationships every day.
We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 6 Student Leaders embraced the spirit of “All In.” Their curiosity, compassion and willingness to learn continue to strengthen our school community and inspire us all to play our part in creating a more connected and culturally aware future.
