The school has received information from the Government today that all public schools in Western Australia will remain open until the end of term – Thursday, 9 April 2020. However, they will now transition into the provision of education for as many students as possible in an online environment. Families are now strongly encouraged to keep their children at home if they have the capacity to do so.

This information comes from Department of Education in conjunction with Department of Health and comprehensive review of all available factual information. Each decision we make is based on analysis of all of this information, consultation with experts, and coordination with local and state agencies.
This page was last updated and is current as at Friday 30th March, 2.30pm and will be updated regularly. Additional updates will be provided as required.
New information re school closure:
- From Monday, 30 March to Friday, 3rd April the school will continue to operate as it has throughout this week, however year levels will be combined in the following K/PP, Year 1/2, Year 3/4 and Year 5/6. There will be also an increase in relief teachers in the school allowing staff to prepare online work.
- The following week (6th to 9th April) teachers will continue to prepare at-home learning programs for Term 2. At this time, we have not clarified how this will operate and the parameters concerning the delivery of learning for your child. We will update you as soon as more information comes to hand. However, I would anticipate this would involve the continued use of an online platform ie (Google Drive) with lessons being delivered electronically each week. We are also exploring and trialling Zoom and have commenced a Vasse You Tube
- During this time (6th to 9th April), students who attend school will be supervised. We will not be providing a classroom learning program but will still have work to do.
The Government has recognised there will still be families who need to send their children to school for supervision only during this period. We are here for the following people:
- Children of parents and carers who need their children to attend school to maintain employment.
- Children who live in families with aged relatives.
- Children where it is safer for them to be at school.
All other information as per previous advisories.
