Hi Parents / Guardians,
It’s great to see WA recording a number of zero new cases last week and also in the Southwest. Whilst this provides us with more confidence, it doesn’t mean we relax our plans at school i.e. hygiene- washing hands/sanitising, limiting parents to only K/PP allowed onsite to pick children up and limiting large group activities.
The AHPPC (Australian Health Protection Principal Committee) guidelines have been updated after National Cabinet met on Friday;
the 4 square metre rule and 1.5m distancing between students during class have been removed.
By now you should have received a Dojo message from your teacher asking
“Will your child be returning to school on Wednesday 29th April?” Yes or No?
I would appreciate this information by today at the latest for us to finalize our planning.
Thank you to those of you who have let me know.
Work will be provided online and some work packs for those who choose to stay at home, however it will be a requirement of the parents to manage this work. The teachers will not be Zooming every day as initially planned or checking on work carried out. They may make contact once a week to check in.

Our cleaning will be increased throughout the day, including high touch surfaces and playground equipment. The cleaners rosters have changed and increased so that they are cleaning throughout the day.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to keep your distance, parents are not allowed to enter the school’s grounds *. Older students are encouraged to walk their younger brothers and sisters to class. You should clearly discuss where you will meet your child at the end of the school day – make sure you are on time as children become anxious when you are late – school finishes at 3.05 pm (3pm for K/PP).
* K/PP parents can drop their children at the gates entering the K/PP area. For K/PP if your child is in Rooms 16 & 17 please drop and collect your child from the gate on the netball courts: Rooms 12 &14 the steps out to the oval; Rooms 15 & 18 the pathway heading out to Heritage Drive. Please remember to social distance and leave as soon as you can. Please refrain from entering the classrooms.
Daycare companies have also been notified of these drop-off/pick up arrangements.

There will be a review of these arrangements in the lead up to Week 4 (18th May) and any adjustments will be made based on health advice and infection trends across the community.
