On the 8 and 9 September, five local school choirs came together for two days of singing and fun. Tutti means “singing and performing all together”, in Italian, and that’s just what we did!
The participating schools were Rapids Landing Primary, Cowaramup Primary, Margaret River Primary, Dunsborough Primary and Vasse Primary.
On the first day we had a workshop at Cowaramup District Club where we all worked on harmonising and developing three songs as one large choir. On the second day, we were back at the club where we had a professional sound and video recording done by Mike Goodwin, sound engineer and Angela Goodwin, film engineer.
The students learnt about the time and patience that is required for quality production and it was a real test of stamina for many – the teachers too! We had to do lots of recordings to get things exactly right. Everyone worked extremely hard and created a beautiful sound together. Once recording had finished, the students and staff enjoyed a pizza lunch and a play in the park.
It was a great experience for everyone involved and we are looking forward to seeing the video and putting it on our school website for everyone to see.
