When the Year Sixes arrived at Rottnest Island, we couldn’t wait for the adventures ahead of us! The quokkas were so cute, and you couldn’t miss the chance to go and see them. Not many of us knew that Rottnest had such an interesting wartime history. We visited the Oliver Hill guns and the Bickley Battery, and the tour was really cool.
The bike ride to West End was awesome too; we saw a massive osprey nest and heaps of seals. The speedboat tour was amazing! We went all the way around the island and saw so much in just 90 minutes. We spotted seals, whales, the Dugites camp group at West End, an osprey catching a fish for its lunch, and even some dolphins.
Rottnest was so worth the trip! We saw heaps of wildlife, played cricket at the barracks, and had heaps of fun!
