Vasse Pirates Courthouse Gallery and…

The talented artists from Year 4 (Rooms 7 and 8) are taking their creativity beyond the classroom, with their Pirate Portraits on display at the Courthouse Gallery in Busselton during the school holidays.

Created using mixed media on recycled music sheets, these playful artworks explore the elements of art while bringing each pirate character to life. Inspired by the pirate ship playgrounds at Vasse Primary School and in Busselton, the project encouraged students to use local landmarks and a touch of humour in their creative designs.

Hidden Talents Bloom in the Art Room

This term, our wonderful Education Assistant, Mrs Hough, shared her artistic talents with a Year 6 class, guiding students to create beautiful botanical mono-prints.

Whenever possible, I encourage our amazing Education Assistants to take the opportunity to lead a creative activity during an art lesson. It is always inspiring to see students discover and appreciate the hidden talents of the adults who support them every day.

The smiles, enthusiasm and heartfelt “wow” moments made this a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.
