Today was our first virtual online assembly which seems to have been a success. It was strange not seeing the whole school together at Assembly as customary, but with the latest restrictions advising smaller gatherings, the Hive was still abuzz with excitement as Merit Certificate recipients and their parents socially distanced.
The camera ‘rolled’ with students and teachers watching the assembly from their classroom and parents linking in from home using Microsoft Teams. Mrs Sefton announced the awardees while Mr Mansfield elbow touched “well done” to each student, who paused to smile at the camera before proudly walking back to their spot. We have some room for improvement with the procedure but all in all it went very well.
And now to our Student Councillors – The Years 4-6 ballots were counted over the weekend and we are delighted to announce that Vasse Primary School 2022

Congratulations to these Student Leaders, who will soon be joined by our Faction Captains. We will hear their speeches on Friday and we will announce our eight Factions Captains on Monday 14 Feb. Watch this space.
