Dear Parents/Guardians
In the last newsletter I called for nominations for interested parents to join the Vasse School Board. The board had three vacancies and I am delighted to announce we had 5 nominations. The process from here is that we need to hold an election. Below is the link for parents to vote. I have also included some brief information that the nominees have prepared.

Andrea Triffitt
I am a mum of 4 and have been part of the Vasse Primary family for more than 10 years. I have two boys in the school in years 4 and 6 and 2 daughters thriving at high school thanks to the great foundation Vasse gave them. I work as an Occupational Therapist at Busselton Hospital. I have been a Parent Rep on the school Board for the past 3 years and have tried to bring an objective and inclusive view from the parents I meet/know. I have been active with the P&C and feel this has helped me to better represent our Vasse Families.
I would really appreciate the opportunity of another term on the Board to help continue to support the high standard the school achieves. I feel it is important to have strong leadership and direction as the school continues to grow rapidly. I would value the opportunity to support the school to maintain its small country town feel as we grow into a big city. It would also be wonderful to continue to work with the Board to protect the wonderful green spaces our kids have to play in which I think are the heart of our school.

Two kids ages 7 & 9 years at Vasse Primary School;
I believe I would be a good parent representative for the Board of VPS principally because;
1. I have a strong belief that parents and teachers work as partners in the education of children.
2. I come from a low-income broken home family, have achieved to a high level and would love the opportunity to assist kids at all levels in achieving their dreams in spite of their individual situations.
